The National Addiction Awareness Complex is seeking a candidate to lead fundraising strategy development and execution for the non-profit. Currently, the collective team is contributing in this role, however, for ongoing fundraising, a single Director will be responsible for planning and operationalizing the fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for wearing many hats, and will be responsible for the following:

  • Work with leadership team to craft comprehensive fundraising strategy and attract and manage resources to execute fundraising campaigns to meet fundraising goals.
  • Develop new audiences through various media including social media, email, print, digital, etc.
  • Present our vision to businesses and organizations to raise awareness and attract donors and sponsors.
  • Cultivate relationships with national, regional, and local sponsors to meet fundraising goals.
  • Provide material for website to engage supporters.
  • Lead efforts to generate contacts and manage the contact information and data.
  • Launch fundraising campaigns.
  • Manage grant application process.

Candidates will need to live within a reasonable commute to our planning office in Denver, PA even though most of the work will be done at your own home office.

Qualifications

  • Experience marketing & fundraising for a non-profit will be highly encouraged.
  • Degree in business, marketing, or related field a bonus (experience trumps degree).
  • Ability to craft stories to help supporters understand our organization and cause.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication to include written “cold” emails to individuals and businesses (MailChimp experience a plus), grant writing, content marketing materials, and ability to represent the organization at events.
  • Comfortable making public appearances and representing the NAAC.
  • Familiarity with addiction recovery terminology and a lifestyle of recovery is required. If you are in addiction recovery yourself, we welcome you to apply, and we are seeking a minimum of three years of continuous sobriety.
  • Experience, directly or indirectly, with selecting and apply for grants and other opportunities.
  • Experience with crowdfunding and crowdfunding platforms a plus.

As a startup team member, we are offering Revenue Base Compensation as a Contractor for this opportunity. Compensation will be fully explained during the interview process. As a contractor, you will need to be financially stable to participate with us as a startup team member.
