Hello Community!

I am Eugene – a contributing writer for the vision behind The National Addiction Awareness Complex.

What is it?

Think of a unique alcohol- and drug-free resort where you can create new, sober memories, forge lasting connections, unwind as a family or recovery group, and, above all, immerse yourself in an atmosphere that fosters awareness and spiritual growth.

How does the Complex help raise addiction awareness? Everything in the Complex is designed to promote substance-free living. It offers a supportive, sober environment where you will experience empathy, non-judgmental acceptance, and understanding from those who know how you feel. As the saying goes, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

Imagine a place to create new sober memories, share your experience, strength, and hope with others around a campfire, and find serenity and connection with yourself and your Higher Power in the pristine nature of Southern Pennsylvania.

Today, I’ll take you on a guided tour of our stunning campground.

Awareness Campground

The National Addiction Awareness Campground offers a serene retreat for all nature lovers. It provides a wide range of accommodations from sleeping under the stars to cozy log cabins or rustic lodges. With illuminated activity areas, guests can enjoy late-night sports and exercises without constraints.

Welcoming pets and bikers, the campground is open year-round –a haven for drug-free camping. Ideal for group events and family gatherings, themed activities like SoberStock and First Responders enhance the experience.

Daily support group meetings and events at the Awareness Fire Pit are geared toward healing and building meaningful connections, while the Campground Stage hosts forums and entertainment.

The Outside Kitchen facilitates meal preparation, and Sunday Lunch fosters community through shared cook-offs. Evenings are perfect for bonding over campfires, and Awareness Bricklayer Weekends offer opportunities for reflection and friendship along illuminated pathways.

Thanks and I look forward to walking you through the other sections in the future!
